If you live in Northeast Ohio and have not visited Chagrin Falls, you are missing out. Or maybe I should say you are in for a treat because a lovely day trip might just be in your near future! Ever since we moved back to Cleveland, we love to head over to Chagrin Falls. It is a small town on the East side of Cleveland only about twenty-five minutes from us.
On the weekends, it is like a haven for dogs. You will find tons of people walking around with dogs of all shapes, sizes and colors. Although we have 3 dogs, they can be a bit overwhelming all at once so we chose to just bring Gryff since he is the best one on a leash.
One of our favorite places to go is Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream. In the summer, we sometimes make dinner at home and then take a drive to Jeni's to get a scoop (or two)! They are truly innovative with their unique flavors and use such high quality ingredients. I ended up getting the Sweet Potato with Torched Marshmallows and it was ah-maaaaayyy-zing! Check out the link... because for a pretty penny you can have some Jeni's shipped right to your front door and it is worth every cent! There is also a nifty little video showing how they make it.
In addition to the ice cream and waterfalls, you can find dozens of restaurants and shops of all sorts lining the streets. It truly is a charming little town. If you haven't been, take some time and head out to Chagrin Falls.
I grew up in Chargrin Falls so this just took me back 20 years!
